Nog een tulpenvierkant / Another tulips square

Ik wilde nog een tulpenvierkant maken, maar nu in de kleuren die ik echt mooi vind.
Het is het zelfde patroon van Doni Speigle, te vinden op Ravelry.

I wanted to crochet another tulips square, in the colors I like best.

Op het weblog about crochet van Elisabeth Andrée las ik over de Beautiful Blogger Blanket 2013.
Ik vind het een leuk idee en probeer mee te doen.
Na lang zoeken op internet vond ik op de site van Craftyminx dit tulpenvierkant.
Craftyminx heeft 365 vierkanten op haar website!
Het is een ontwerp van Doni Speigle (als een vaatdoekje!), te vinden op Ravelry.

On the blog about crochet by Elisabeth Andrée I read about the Beautiful Blogger Blanket 2013.
I think it is a nice idea and I am trying to participate.
After a long search on internet I found on the site Craftyminx this tulips square.
Craftyminx has 365 squares on her website!
It is designed by Doni Speigle (as a dishcloth!), you can find it on Ravelry.

Tulpenvierkant van Craftyminx.

Ik ben weg van de uitvoering van Craftyminx. Op Ravelry kun je zien dat het nog niet zo makkelijk is om met het gegeven patroon een goed resultaat te bereiken. Een uitdaging dus!

I especially like the square made by Craftminx. On Ravelry you can see that it is not that easy to obtain a good result with this pattern. A challenge!

Tulpenvierkant van de Hakerij.

Vooral de tulpjes zelf vond ik moeilijk. Ik heb uiteindelijk de stokjes veranderd in halve stokjes en nu zien ze er redelijk uit.

I found it hard to get the tulips right. In the end I changed the double crochets into half double crochets and now they look acceptable.

Nog even iets over het garen: ik gebruikte Nova van de Wibra, drie jaar geleden gekocht.
Een vierkant voor de Beautiful Blogger Blanket moet gehaakt worden in DK cotton, Double Knit katoen. Nova is iets dikkere katoen, te haken met haaknaald 4mm.
Qua kleur had ik niet veel te kiezen. Ik gebruikte wat ik had.

The yarn I used is Nova, bought at Wibra, about three years ago.
A square for the Beautiful Blogger Blanket has to be crocheted in DK cotton. This is a yarn that is a little thicker than most cotton crochet yarn. Nova is DK cotton, I think. Hence I did not have much choice in color. I used what I had.
