Ik had een haaknaald 3,5mm nodig, maar degene die ik had bleek een braam te hebben.
Het haken lukte wel, maar was geen pretje. Ik besloot te investeren in een paar goede haaknaalden en kwam uit bij Clover Amour.
Goede haaknaalden, daar niet van. Het metalen gedeelte is superglad en haakt daardoor moeiteloos.
Het handvat is van Elastomeer, een polymeer met rubberachtige eigenschappen.
Daar moet ik wel aan wennen. Het is stroef zodat de haaknaald niet makkelijk uit je hand glijdt. Maar verder vind ik het niet echt prettig. En ik ben bang dat het plakkerig wordt op den duur.
Ik bewaar deze haaknaalden daarom in hun oorspronkelijke verpakking.
De Clover Amour is 8mm langer dan de Clover Soft Touch en dat vind ik wel prettig.
Maar de Clover Amour is wel een stuk duurder dan de Clover Soft Touch en ik kan niet beweren dat deze naalden die prijs wel waard zijn.
Als ik weer een haaknaald nodig heb kies ik een Clover Soft Touch.
UPDATE 26 april 2013 Ik heb de Clover Amour haaknaalden nu enkele weken gebruikt en ik moet toegeven dat ik geen andere haaknaalden meer wil! Ik ben helemaal gewend aan het Elastomeer handvat en ik vind ze nòg gladder dan de Clover Soft Touch haaknaalden.

I decided to invest in some really good crochet hooks and ended up at Clover Amour.
Good hooks. The metal part is very smooth, crocheting is almost effortless.
The grip is made of Elastomer, a polymer that feels like rubber. I really have to get used to this material. It gives you a good grip, but it also feels rigid. It does not move easy in your hand. I am afraid that this stuff will become sticky and smelly after some time. So I keep them in their original packing.
The Clover Amour is a little longer than the Soft Touch, 8mm and I like that.
But the Clover Amour is much more expensive than the Clover Soft Touch. And I don’t think that they are worth this higher price.
Next time I need a crochet hook my choice will be a Clover Soft Touch.
UPDATE April 26, 2013 I have used Clover Amour hooks now for several weeks and I have to admit that I don’t want to use any other hook anymore! I am completely used to Elastomer grip, it did not become sticky or smelly, and I find that the metal tops are even smoother than the Clover Soft Touch hooks.

• Ergonomische haaknaald Clover Soft Touch: prima haaknaald. Een beetje aan de korte kant, maar dat went snel.
• Ergonomic Clover Soft Touch: very good, only a bit short.
• traditionele dunne haaknaald: kan goed zijn, maar bij lang haken met zo’n haaknaald kun je kramp in je hand krijgen. Meestal goedkoop, dus goed als je begint en nog niet weet of je veel gaat haken.
• traditional thin hook: can be OK, but when you crochet long periods of time with these hooks you can get cramp in your hand. Usually inexpensive so they are a good choice when you start crocheting and you are not sure you are going to like it.
• Wibra haaknaald: goede haaknaald, maar het platte stukje om je duim op te leggen zit voor mij te laag.
• Wibra hook: the metal past is OK, but the plat part on the grip sits a little to low for my hand.
• Addi Swing, ergonomische haaknaald: nog niet echt mee gehaakt. Gekocht bij garen waar ik uiteindelijk een 8,0mm haaknaald voor heb gebruikt. Deze haaknaald is wel even wennen.
• Ergonomic hook Addy Swing: I have not yet sufficient experience with this hook. I bought it together with yarn that ultimately needed a 8.0mm hook. You really have to get used to this hook.
